So we are working on changing the way we interview developers.
At least the process we will use to test them. Previously we would have them come in, give them a requirements list and a standalone laptop and say have at it.
We want to change this as we have gone to a much more advanced architecture.
We want to be able to hand them partial pieces both working and broken as well as needs to be implemented and ask them to complete the project. What advice or resources would you look to for guidance on getting started with setting up this kind of test. We are looking to give them a fair amount of time 4-5 hours and are not looking for complete but quality of work.
What are your thoughts.
