I think I got 4 sentences into the wikipedia on Mr. Gura before I started laughing my ass off. You wouldn't really do that to your daughter would you? Looking to peck a fight are ya?
My wife and I believe that our youngest son was guaranteed graduation from high school because the district was tired of dealing with us and our kids.
We taught the kids to think for themselves; lead to some interesting notes about class discussions. Along the lines of "your son X or Y argued with me about the meaning of topic Z". I would smile as I read them and then help him think it through for another round the next time.
I applaud your effort !! Great work and keep it up. Keep the teachers honest, make them explain all the relevant aspects of life and our society.
